Participation in student organizations is highly encouraged to enhance leadership skills, advocacy of oral health, and service to others. The school’s largest student organization is the American Student Dental Association chapter which aims to prepare students for practice in the profession and society. In addition, there are local chapters of the Student National Dental Association, American Association of Women Dentists, American Dental Education Association, Christian Medical Dental Association, Hispanic Student Dental Association, and the Society of Professionalism and Ethics Association in Dentistry. Student organizations focused on specialty disciplines include the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, and Periodontics clubs.

Students may also consider participating in various campus organizations and intramural sports.
